西周的青铜礼器,出土于清朝道光初年陕西眉县礼村。现藏中国国家博物馆。内容是康王 昭在奖赏贵族盂时,告诉他周立国的经验和殷商丧国的教训,希望他克勤王室,为重要史料。造型端庄古朴,字体瑰丽雄奇,是西周早期艺术性高的金文书法作品和范本。

The Yu Cauldron
The Yu Cauldron, which is kept in the National Museum of China, is a bronze ceremonial vessel of the Western Zhou period. It was unearthed in Meixian, Shannxi during the Daoguang Period, Qing Dynasty. The inscriptions are about King Kang’s narration of the founding of the Zhou Kingdom and the fall of the Shang Dynasty. The writing is highly artistic and it is the model of Bronze Inscription.
