简介：

李秀添，曾任东马砂拉越中华学校校长，先后任教于芙蓉中华中学及怡保育才中学，最后执教于吉隆坡中华独中长达廿余年。他从1955年便开办书法班授徒，八十年代更放下教鞭，专心教导书法，毕生从事书法教育工作。1992 年获得首届大马华人文化协会的荣誉文化奖。其书平稳、端正。

Calligrapher: Li Xiu Tian (1904 – 1995)

Overview: Li Xiu Tian was the principal of Chung Hua Middle School in Sarawak. He held other teaching roles at Seremban Chung Hua High School, Ipoh Yuk Choy High School and Chung Hwa Independent High School (Kuala Lumpur) for a duration of over two decades. He first established his calligraphy classes in 1955. Upon his retirement from teaching in the 80s, he focused on spreading his calligraphy knowledge for the rest of his life. He was conferred the highest cultural honour by the Malaysian Chinese Cultural Society in the inaugural award ceremony. Li’s calligraphy is well-constructed and steady; well-ordered and neat.
